今天，荷花潔馨説她想做一個書吧。或許，就是如海明威所寫的那樣的一個地方。你會覺得，那裏有你的歸宿，忘卻疲勞，沒有物慾，隨隨便便，前所未有的鬆弛，高興呆多久就呆多久。好吧，如果荷花真的書吧開張，我至少捐200本書。荷花還感興趣的是，究竟舊書的成本會是多少，需要多長時間才能弄到足夠的書，在什麼地方能找到這些書。對於愛好書的人來説，總是不會放過任何一個得到書的.機會：圖書館或者單位的處理書、舊書攤、舊書店、書市，甚至是廢品收購站。至於不得不提到的錢，反正對我來説，除了伙食費，都可以用來買書。對於書吧，或許這麼説比較好：如果你找到了孤獨，你就找到了顧客。

燕舞感慨不知道何時才能像我這樣有自己的房子和書。其實來過的鄰居都知道，我的家裏簡單得很，不但裝修簡單，而且除了書和生活必備品，沒有什麼多餘的物件——或許咖啡壺算一個。（所以，只要大家不帶什麼貴重物品來，搶劫犯盜賊一定會很失望的。）在有自己房子之前，我住的是一個不到十平米的單間，現在的生活物件不比那時候多多少。有個朋友曾給單間拍過幾張照片，貼出來憶苦思甜。

要指望一個男人把家裏收拾得乾乾淨淨，是不現實的。但是，自從開放圖書館之後，每次大家來之前，亂七八糟的東西總得收拾到大家看不到的地方；大家走之後，在臨睡前，地板總得拖一下。因為你們的到來，我才感到家裏前所未有的乾淨而明亮。
