i am afraid i cannot prevent the whole picture of our cultural programs within such a short period of time. actually, what we have shown you here today is only a fraction of beijing that awaits you. ladies and gentlemen, i believe that beijing will prove to be a land of wonders to athletes, spectators and the worldwide television audience alike. come and join us.

bidding for the olympic games, in a way, an image-creating undertaking. the first and foremost thing is to let people fall in love with the city at first sight, attracting them by its unipue image. what image does beijing

intend to create for itself once it has the opportunity to host the 2014 olympics?

it is known to all that the beijing municipal government has already set the theme for the future games: new beijing, great olympics. for me, the 2014 olympics will be a great green olympics illuminated with two more special colors, yellow and red.

first, yellow is a meaningful color. the yellow river is china's mother river and the descendants of the yellow emperor. this color has a special origin and great significance for the chinese people. beijing is the capital of new china and previously the capital for nine dynasties in chinese history. so, yellow will naturally add splendor to the 2014 games.

secondly, the 2014 olympics will be a red is another traditionally cherished color for the whole country. we adore red. on big occasions, we like to decorate our homes in red. it is the color of double happiness, representing joyous moments, auspiciousness, enthusiasm and prosperity. red is one of the most suitable colors to describe th(請你支持：)e future of beijing . beijing , together with the whole country, is becoming more and more prosperous in the process of modernization. should the 2014 olympics be held in beijing, the whole city will be a sea of red : the red torch,red flags, red flowers, and the radiant faces of millions of joyful people.

tomorrow will be better

i was born in beijing and live in beijing, and i love beijing very much. when i heard that beijing will have a chance to hold the 2014 olympic games i feel very happy and excited, and i hope i can do something useful to build beijing into a beautiful and energetic city.

in the twenty-first century, environment is becoming more and more important, so we have "green olympic" as a slogan. of course slogan is just a goal, the most important thing is we should do some things to make it true. such as assort the trash, save the energy and so on. we are still students now, so we can't do anything really big. but if everybody does something good for our environment we could make beijing more beautiful.

in fact the things we can do are easy. like not littering the useless batteries everywhere, assort the trash which we want to throw away, and also protect the animals and plants around us, because they are important parts of the energetic beijing.

luckily i had a chance to take part in an activity that is we planted 5 trees in our campus. my classmates and i worked very hard. this activity doesn't only plant trees, but also contribute to our environment. look at the trees, i believe, tomorrow there will be more trees and flowers standing in beijing and give beijingers a beautiful environment.

we are all chinese people, live on the earth. we have only one capital, just like we have only one earth. if we don't beautify our environment, who will? good environment depends on good human consciousness. we should say that protecting our surroundings is not easy. that's why i'm standing here to summon people do it.

the 2014 olympics games is coming, this is a chance for us to show the good environment we have to other people. if we do from the bottom of our heart, beijing's tomorrow will be more brilliant it will have blue skies, cleaner rivers. who don't want beijing to become more and more beautiful? if we do our best, tomorrow will be better!

我是一個生在北京，長在北京的男孩。對這座城市有着深厚的感情。2014年北京申辦2014奧運會成功，我感到無比的興奮與喜悦併發自內心地希望可以為建設一個生態北京，辦好一次綠色奧運儘自己的一份綿薄之力。

在經濟飛速發展的21世紀，環境的好與壞逐漸成為了衡量一個城市優劣的重要標準。因此，我們有了綠色奧運的口號。當然了，口號是指導，最重要的還是要落實到行動當中。諸如垃圾分類，綠色能源，綠色發電等等等等，都是國家為打造生態北京、綠色奧運做出的不懈努力。當然，依舊是學生的我們或許無法做什麼大事，但如果每一個人都有心去做一點，那麼我們千千萬萬的北京學子們一定可以讓北京美起來！

其實我們要做的也很簡單：每當有用完的廢電池不要亂扔，應集中交給回收站處理；每當有生活垃圾要扔掉的時候，應認真地進行垃圾分類，再扔進垃圾箱內；而且我們也應當學會保護身邊的動植物，一花一草，一鳥一蟲都是生態北京的一個重要組成部分。

非常幸運的我曾親身參與過一次綠色活動。就在今年植樹節前夕，我和全班同學一起在校園內種了五棵針葉鬆。那天風很大，同學們剷土的剷土，挑水的挑水絲毫不怠慢。我和組裏的幾個男生也運起力量將樹苗放進挖好的坑裏。十幾分鐘的時間樹都栽好了。活動稍顯短暫甚至有些倉促。但這不只是為給學校種幾棵樹。而是自己為了一方環境做出貢獻，以自己的勞動給城市的綠色添上新的一筆。看着眼前的五棵樹牽手，我堅信，明天必將有更多更高大的綠樹矗立。這片綠色會從我們心底延伸出去，覆蓋我們的北京城使它充滿活力，生機勃勃。給綠色奧運一個美麗的環境，給我們北京的居民們一個美麗的環境。

親身經歷講完了，最終的目的其實還是希望大家--每一位中學生都應該在心裏樹立一種主人公意識！我們都是中國人，生活在共同的神州大地上。首都只有一個，正如地球也只有一個，不去美化他們，還有誰值得我們為之付出？美好的自然環境是建立在優質的人文環境基礎上的。每一個人主人翁意識的形成和綜合素質的提高其實都是在為我們北京的環境打下基礎，人文環境越來越好，自然環境必將隨之好上加好！當環保不再只是紙上的兩個字，不在只是一句空洞的口號時。是否每一個人都還有喊口號時的那份熱情，真的願意彎下腰拾起路邊的垃圾，真的能握住手中的廢紙堅持走道垃圾箱旁再放下，或是為自己身邊的花花草草着想，不隨意踐踏了他們。我們不得不承認這不容易，這或許也是我之所以站在這裏的原因，去説，去號召並以自己的光彩感染別人。
