Dear Freshmen,

I, the undersigned, am a senior in the Computer Science Department ofTsinghua University.I would like to say a few words to you, which I hope wouldbe helpful to you.

To begin with, the change of ideas is of most importance for freshmen toadapt themselves to campus ng the middle school days, we usuallydepend upon our teachers at school and parents at home.

However, the life and study on university campus features independence, which is essential to our psychological my view, we had betteralways bear in mind the idea of independence.

What’s more, English learning is a one hand, without CET 4certificate, we can not get our degree when we graduate from theother hand, when we hunt for job, English level is a deciding efore,I do hope that all of you will have a good understanding of the necessity oflearning English well.

Good Luck to you!

Sincerely Yours

Dear on,

Thank you very much for taking me with you on that splendid outing was the first time that I had seen the Tower or any of the otherfamous I'd gone alone, I couldn't have seen nearly as much, because Iwouldn't have known my way about.

The weather was splendid on that day, which I thought was rare.I stillremember some people told me that in Britain there was weather and no ng the same day, it might snow in the morning, rain at noon, shine in theafternoon and be windy before the night I think I was lucky.

I think the river trip was the best thing of on really came alivefor me as we saw it from the Thames during that wonderful journey down was all tremendously exciting - a day that I shall neverforget.

Thank you for giving me such a great birthday treat.

Yours sincerely,

Linda Chen

Dear Mary,

Thanks for your last letter.I'm so glad that you have been able (at last!) to arrange a holiday in I fear I won't be able to meet you atthe airport when you arrive, nor will I be able to be home until later in theafternoon, so here are some instructions and suggestions.

There is a bus from the airport to the is much cheaper than a the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.

To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three caneither take a cab, a bus or the train.I suggest you take the train, since theairport bus will leave you right at the off at Cliff there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a ably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat friend Lillianwill be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into myflat.

Presumably you will be tired and want to if you feel like someexercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which isonly ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window.

Cheers and looking forward to seeing you.

Yours sincerely,

Annie
