自薦信屬於求職信的一種。

好的英文求職信和英文簡歷是進入大企業特別是外企的“敲門磚”。因此，如何寫好應聘的求職簡歷就顯得尤為重要。

英文求職信的一般由五個組成部分：寫信動機、自我介紹、能力（技能）介紹、結尾和附件。

寫信動機：

通常求職信是針對報紙上、網上的或是其他途徑的招聘廣告而寫的。因此，信中須首先提到時在何月何日的什麼報紙上看到的信息、在什麼網絡平台看到的招聘廣告，又或是是由朋友或介紹所介紹的等等。當然，有時寫信人不知某機構、公司有工作機會，只是毛遂自薦，那麼也需説明寫求職信的緣由和目的。此外，需開門見山的點明應聘的職位或是希望承擔的職務

自我介紹：

此部分應述明自己的年齡或出生年月、教育背景，尤其與應徵職位有關的訓練或教育科目、工作經驗或特殊技能。如無實際經驗，略述在學類似經驗亦可。

能力（技能）介紹：

如果缺乏工作經歷，可以將社會工作細節放在工作經歷中，這樣會填補工作經驗少的缺陷。例如，在做團支書、學生會主席等社會工作時組織過什麼活動，聯繫過什麼事，參與過什麼都可以一一羅列。

結尾：

求職信的結尾，應注意表達，珍惜工作機會和如果得到職位後將不遺餘力的表現決心，希望招聘單位給予自己施展才華的機會等。此外，不要忘了註明正熱切盼望對方的回覆。

附件：

畢業證書、資格證書、獲獎證明應列好表單，附於求職信後。

格式與態度:

寫英文求職信,開頭寫每段第一句話時, 要頂格寫, 一定不要空兩格. 這點很重要, 請你注意; 不要用開玩笑的口吻與對方套近乎, 要嚴肅, 認真地寫.這能使對方感覺你很重視這件事情; 簡短介紹自己的專業與才能. 重點寫清楚你的能力可以滿足對方公司的需要.

第四步：擺出求職優勢僅有一定的工作經歷而沒有自身的優勢和特長，也很難求得稱心如意的工作。因此，求職時應表明自己除了具有一定的工作經歷之外，還具有一定的優勢和特長，這樣才能穩操勝券。本文可通過如下方法擺出自己的優勢：
