河南旅遊英文網站調查報告
【摘要】 旅遊英文網站是對外宣傳的一種媒介。通過調查，發現英文網站中存在著翻譯方面的問題。本文將從理論和實踐的角度對河南旅遊英文網站中的翻譯進行分析。

一 前言
河南是一個旅遊大省，豐富的旅遊資源吸引著無數的外國遊客前來觀光，為了更好的使外國遊客瞭解河南，大量的旅遊英文資料湧現，旅遊英文網站就是其中之一。筆者瀏覽了河南旅遊局及眾多景點網站，發現存在各種各樣的問題。本文擬從理論與實踐的角度出發，分析英文網站中出現的翻譯問題，並針對這些問題提出相應的對策及方法。
二 調查方法
通過瀏覽河南旅遊局及各景點的中文網站和英文網站，發現其中存在的問題，及時修改更正。
三 英文旅遊網站現狀
1網站的建設不全面，內容少
省內各景點的中文網站內容豐富，全面，版面設計新穎奪目，但英文網站與之相比則稍有遜色。在景點的介紹上，英文網站的內容較為單一，只是某幾個景點的介紹並沒有提及與之相連繫的歷史地理文化背景知識。因此有些專有詞彙的翻譯並不能被外國遊客所理解。並且這些翻譯中不乏拼寫錯誤。
2翻譯不準確
在專有名詞的翻譯中，有些煩已不夠準確。例如，開封的卞繡的譯名為“kai feng bian xiu embroidery”其中embroidery”本身就有刺繡，刺繡品的意思。故翻譯為“kai feng embroidery”完全可被外國人接受，理解。bianxiu反而妨礙了外賓對這些詞的理解，建議去掉。
3歷史文化詞彙解釋
由於中外歷史文化不同，很多中國特有的歷史文化詞彙，不被外國遊客理解，在翻譯中這些影響讀者理解的因素都要被化解，適當增加相應的文化背景解釋或註釋。如山海經，翻譯為shanhaijing,，讀者看過後並不知道這到底是介紹什內容的書籍，而譯為“the classic of mountains and rivers”則非常清楚地告訴讀者，這是一本描寫山河的著作。又如，“唐三彩”譯為“tri-cobared glazed pottery of the tang dynasty”.而不譯為“san cai glaze pottery”.
四 現狀分析
通過調查，有以下幾個因素導致錯誤的產生：一 譯者的歷史文化背景知識不夠全面，導致誤譯或用詞不夠準確。二 英文網站的發展建設應進一步得到各方面的重視。 三 校對人員失誤，導致拼寫錯誤。
五 結語
通過調查，發現我省英文網站存在一些翻譯的問題，英文網站是對外宣傳的一個重要視窗，不規範的翻譯會影響一個城市的整體形象。筆者建議：完善英文網站建設，規範景點翻譯用詞，提高譯者水平，通過視窗作用吸引更多的外國遊客。
